A Jihad for Love set for release March 24

Watch our interview with director Parvez Sharma

Director Parvez Sharma’s sometimes chilling documentary A Jihad for Love explores the lives of queer Muslims across 12 countries and in nine languages. “A sexual revolution of immense proportions was part of the very birth of Islam,” says Sharma. “There was the promise of gender equality… and there was stress on the sexual act just for pleasure beyond reproduction.”

The film is set for DVD release on March 24. For more about A Jihad for Love visit Ajihadforlove.com.
