New music: SAM “Miss you miss you”

A new Canadian electropop duo got in touch with xtra.ca this week. They go by the name SAM and passed along a free copy of their new single, asking us to distribute it to readers for feedback. Here’s a link to the download:

They are also marketing themselves as cartoon pop, which is something the Gorillaz have been doing since the early 2000s. They remind me of Sky, another Canadian pop duo from the late ‘90s, early 2000s. I’m thinking I’m the wrong demographic for this kind of pop, though would love for you to convince me otherwise.
