Ahead of their summer tour, Queen’s new frontman, Adam Lambert, joined Brian May and Roger Taylor on the iHeartRadio stage to perform a 30-year-old Freddie Mercury track called “Love Kills.”
“Love Kills” was the first song Mercury recorded as a solo artist, and it was featured on the soundtrack for the 1984 re-release of Fritz Lang’s 1927 film Metropolis.
The track was nominated for Worst Original Song at the 1985 Razzie Awards, but it reached the top 10 in the UK singles charts. Queen never performed “Love Kills” with Mercury, nor did the legendary frontman, who died of complications from AIDS in 1991, perform it solo.
