And the last gay DJ standing was?

…DJ Jeffery Michael, who scored the most points and ultimately the title of Hot Gay DJ 2010 after a three-month competition that culminated at J Lounge on Aug 2.

Promoters, producers and audience members alike took part in judging the competition, the latest from Terry Costa, the man behind Vancouver’s Next Gay Top Model.

“Celebrities Nightclub’s wunderkind is a young risk taker and knows how to move an audience. You gotta appreciate that,” Sean Horlor wrote of Michael back in June on Xtra Vancouver’s blog.

Asked to describe his sound in three words, Michael replied, “hard and dirty.”

The 29-year-old promptly celebrated his win with a glass of champagne at 1181.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone.
