Things to do this weekend

Sure you can go clubbing or hey, the new movie ‘District 9’ looks good, but why not try something new?

— while it’s really more of an American thing, Toronto is taking part in what’s being called “The Great Nationwide Kiss-in” tomorrow at 2pm. Do you really need an excuse to make out with someone in the middle of town?

— if that’s not political enough for you, try running for Mayor of New Orleans. Actor Brad Pitt says he won’t because he can’t:

“I don’t have a chance…I’m running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform.”

(Pitt’s really got to stop hitting on me like this — it’s getting embarrassing!)

— stop crunching those abs and loosen your belt this weekend. Seems a paunch is the new look for fall and Out magazine editor Aaron Hicklin now says:

“I sort of think the six-pack abs obsession got so prissy it stopped
being masculine…It’s not cool to be seen spending so much time fussing around about your body.”

(Damn, Seth Rogen is gonna be furious after getting turned down for that Abercrombie and Fitch ad last year!)

— and for an extreme way to beat the heat this weekend, head up to the Arctic Circle with ‘Man Vs. Wild’ TV host Bear Grylls:

Whatever you choose to do, have a lovely one and we’ll see you Monday!
