WWE wrestler Darren Young comes out

I'm gay, says Young, and 'I'm happy, very happy'

Darren Young is out and he doesn’t care who knows it.

The World Wresting Entertainment (WWE) wrestler came out in an interview with a TMZ reporter, Pink News reports.

When questioned about whether a gay wrestler could find success, Young replied: “Absolutely, absolutely! Look at me. I’m a WWE Superstar and to be honest with you I’m gay. And I’m happy, very happy.”

Young also said he doesn’t think sexuality matters in wrestling. “I don’t think it matters . . . some people might not like it, some people will like it, but I’m here to please myself, I’m here to be happy.”

Young, 33, is a native of New Jersey and the winner of several wrestling championships.
