An 82-page report by the Iranian Ministry of Education in 2007 and 2008 has recently come to light and reveals that Iranian youth are risking their lives to have gay sex in the country, which has criminalized homosexuality as punishable by death.
In a survey that reached 141,552 people, 24,889 male and female high school students, or 17.5 percent, admitted to having gay sexual experiences.
But the kids aren’t just breaking the law for gay sex. Three quarters (74 percent) of those surveyed admitted to having straight sexual experiences. In Iran, sex outside of marriage is considered adultery.
Ironically, during a lecture at Columbia University around the same time the survey was conducted, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, “In Iran, we don’t have homosexuality.”
Hate to break it to you, buddy, but you have nearly as much homosexuality as denial!
