After a Swedish district court acquitted a man of sexual assault for masturbating on a Stockholm beach, the prosecutor in the case says the ruling suggests it’s “okay” to spank the monkey in public.
“With that, we can conclude that it is OK to masturbate on the beach . . . [although] the act may be considered to be disorderly conduct,” Olof Vrethammar said, according to a translation of a report published in Swedish newspaper Mitti.
The accused, 65, was charged after he was caught with his pants down, giving himself a handjob, The Local reports. But the court ruled that he was not “directing his actions at anyone in particular,” clearing him of the sexual assault charge.
