If you see a group of men awkwardly eyeing each other up in a park at night, it’d be reasonable to assume they’re cruising. But if someone approaches you in Toronto’s Queen’s Park at 8pm on Feb 6, 2016, he might just be there for his local “rape should be legal” meeting.
The followers of Daryush Valizadeh, noted homophobe, misogynist, rape-enthusiast, anti-Semite, friend of Neo-Nazis and alleged sewer-person will be having a global meetup, which includes 10 Canadian cities on that day. Valizadeh, who goes by Roosh V, will be attending the meet-up in Washington DC.
Roosh V is a self-styled seduction expert who holds clinics for wanna-be pick-up artists, all the while promoting his hateful ideology of “neomasculinity” through books and his website, Return of Kings.
Unfortunately for Daily Xtra readers, the FAQ page for the “tribal meeting” explicitly bans women, gay and trans people from attending.
“This is a meeting for heterosexual men only,” reads the FAQ.
In order to gain passage to this hallowed event, one must make himself known to his compatriots through a secret phrase.
“Do you know where I can find a pet shop?” these men will be asking each other in the middle of a park at a time when no actual pet shops will be open.
Roosh makes it clear that tardiness will not be tolerated.
“Hosts have been instructed to wait at the meeting point from 8:00-8:20pm before moving on to the final location,” he writes. “If you arrive at the meeting point at 8:21pm, you will miss the meetup. Arriving on time within the window is absolutely paramount.”
While the images accompanying the meet-up directions look like promos for a medieval-themed bear night, these paragons of neo-masculinity are just looking for a safe space away from the feminists and queer people that oppress them.
They even have a plan in case “crazy feminists show up.”
“Record them with your camera, upload the footage to Dropbox, and then send it to me at roosh@rooshv.com afterwards so we can tear them up,” Roosh writes.
Roosh assures his followers that the FBI and the CIA won’t infiltrate the meetings and promises them that soon they will be able to come out of the shadows.
“Up to now, the enemy has been able to exert their power by isolating us and attacking with shrieking mobs, but we’ll be able to neutralize that tactic by amassing in high numbers come February 6,” he writes.
But if they are set upon by mobs of feminists, Roosh promises to “exact furious retribution upon anyone who challenges you in public on that date.”
Return of Kings, Roosh V’s website which is advertising the event, is an overflowing cesspool of hateful garbage.
While Roosh is best known for his extreme misogynistic views, including his belief that rape should be legalized, he still leaves some space in his heart for virulent homophobia.
Here’s a few examples:
Male homosexuals have become a public health threat
America has turned into a “nation of burly dykes and butt fuckers.”
And of course, gay marriage is destroying the American family.
For Roosh’s followers planning on getting together for their coming-out party, gathering in a park is kind of tacky. If you need a venue to get together with your male friends, may we recommend Steamworks.
