A Port Coquitlam man charged with the murder of another man will stand trial in BC Supreme Court.
Kenneth Jensen is charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of George Ammon Kong.
New Westminster provincial court judge Pedro deCouto ruled Oct 23 that the evidence presented at Jensen’s preliminary hearing last month was compelling enough for Jensen to stand trial. A trial date will be set Nov 22.
New Westminster police found Kong’s body Jan 23 when they entered his home to check on him after he failed to show up for work three days in a row.
Autopsy results released shortly after Kong’s death show he was killed, and an investigation spearheaded by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team revealed that Kong and the accused made arrangements to meet for the first time through an internet dating service.
