As if we needed further proof, Marco Paravani demonstrates that puppies — in this case, the kinky, human kind — are lovely.
He’s an illustrator (one of his pieces is shown below) and says he’s long wanted to somehow use art to “give to the community and make a positive change.” He’s also kinky — the young, bearded guy with kind eyes can often be found capering about with other pups at The Black Eagle — so he did the obvious thing and combined the two.
He says his event, called Kinky ’n Queer, will showcase “a lot of really great artists and craft workers.” It’ll give kink-focused local artists (many of them also pups) a chance to sell their work. It’s also an opportunity for folks to buy some unique, handmade items for their collections.
The dirty-minded can head to the top floor of Glad Day Bookshop where, under the approving gaze of The Toronto Sisters of Joy (a mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence), they can peruse the filthy illustrations, photographs and paintings hanging on the walls.
Scott Youdale’s “If Sims Had Grindr I Would Never Leave My Room” will also be set up. It consists of two different videos of heavily modified Sims characters getting it on. “It’s an awkward encounter, and that kind of epitomizes Grindr,” Paravani says. The tiny, retro TVs the videos will play on are included with purchase.
Liberally lubricated by alcoholic drinks at the snack bar (and perhaps chewing on a vagina cupcake or gummy dick), folks can also check out several tables full of handmade toys and gear — everything from cock-and-ball-shaped chew toys to leather gauntlets with built-in wallets (for the Westerosi knight on the go, presumably).
Some of the funds raised — 15 percent of sales and 100 percent of proceeds from a raffle — will to go Sketch, an outreach program that provides training for street-involved and at-risk youth. So, no matter how tipsy or horny you get, you can take comfort from knowing that it’s for a good cause.
