The 20th anniversary of Toronto’s humongous outdoor literary celebration The Word on the Street runs 11am to 6pm on Sun, Sep 27 in Queen’s Park. Admission is free; go to Thewordonthestreet.ca.

Returning again this year is the queer tent Proud Voices, copresented with Pride Toronto:

11am: Queer parenting panel with N Gitanjali Lena, Derek Scott, Elizabeth Ruth and Rachel Epstein

Noon: Beth Anne Fischer, Tanya Neumeyer and Truth Is of the Toronto Poetry Slam (see page 26)

1pm: Jeffrey Round

2pm: Nairne Holtz

2:30pm: Emma Donoghue

3pm: Panel with Paul Bellini, Steve Bereznai, Terry Goldie and Sukie Lee

4pm: Greg Kearney and Debra Anderson (honourable mention and winner of the 2009 Dayne Ogilvie Memorial Grant)
