The 20th anniversary of Toronto’s humongous outdoor literary celebration The Word on the Street runs 11am to 6pm on Sun, Sep 27 in Queen’s Park. Admission is free; go to Thewordonthestreet.ca.

Returning again this year is the queer tent Proud Voices, copresented with Pride Toronto:

Noon: Beth Anne Fischer, Tanya Neumeyer and Truth Is of the Toronto Poetry Slam (see page 26)
