Rae Spoon and Ivan E Coyote bring book, show to Halifax

Friends and touring mates Rae Spoon and Ivan E Coyote can now add co-authors to the list of things they have accomplished together.

Gender Failure is a collection of essays, poems, lyrics and more from this dynamic duo who went on tour together under the same moniker. It’s already garnering great reviews, including from trans author and advocate Kate Bornstein, who described it as “a magical, down-to-earth, painfully honest step beyond any predetermined transgender narrative . . . hilarious, at times heartbreaking, their storytelling is top-notch.”

To celebrate the launch of the book, Spoon and Coyote are coming to Halifax, where they will perform their multimedia show, featuring animation and video elements (thanks to Seattle-based Clyde Petersen). Tickets are $14 in advance and $15 at the door. Check out the Facebook event page for more information.
