Queer censorship isn’t new in Canada, but we’ve won the fight before

Key figures from censorship fights in the 20th century reflect on what we can learn from them today

While queer censorship is a major issue today, it’s a battle we’ve fought before. Cartoonist Winter Wei profiles some of the writers, artists and activists who were on the front lines of the censorship fight in Canada decades ago. This comic is part of Comics Against Censorship, a five-part series of original comics tackling the history, impact and fight against LGBTQ2S+ censorship. Read the full series here.
