When I first saw that Adam Dreaddy was presenting something called Hunter, I imagined a reality show based of him hunting through Vancouver’s clubs in search of his next big love. But then I realized they’re not old enough to get in! Turns out he’s bringing the city a fresh new club experience: a monthly night of quality house music for music lovers. Dear Armen
This is the story of a genderqueer writer as they study the life work of Armen Ohanian, an Armenian survivor of the early 20th century anti-Armenian pogroms. “An interactive-theatre experience blending traditional Armenian dance, erotic performance, monologue and live music, Dear Armen weaves together the voices and struggles of three generations of gender nonconforming Armenians.” 8pm. Come Together
I actually have this on a T-shirt that I used to wear on first dates! It was either a hit or a colossal miss (mostly it was a miss). Tonight it stands for a Queer & Trans Open Mic Night, a monthly event to showcase the talents of queer and trans musicians, poets, spoken word artists and performers.
