Lights Out

Lights get turned down so low you’ll need fluorescent-painted balls to be found. Or just grope your way through the room until you find a fistful of fun. You’ve got 12 hours to get your fill so rest up and let the Steamworks men go into overdrive.

4pm–4am. Steamworks, 123 Pender St W. Rates start at $6. Info from Steamworks.

April 20

Eastside Flea 2nd Anniversary

Last time I went to this event, I spent more time looking at all the eye candy than the bargains. This year promises to be an even bigger event for the second anniversary bash. Handmade and vintage clothes, jewelry and collectables, plus vinyl, plants, body products and more. Also featuring War Baby & Basic Instinct providing tunes, plus food trucks and every drag queen in town looking for a new outfit.

6pm–12am. Eastside Flea, 1024 Main St. Cover $5 before 8pm, $8 after. Info on Facebook.

Vogue

No, it’s not another Madonna party. Hosted by the Devo Divos: three tall dudes who throw great parties and give all profits to charities. Featuring a 10-foot-tall LED robot, sexy circus performers and DJ Harris. What more do you need?

9pm–3am. The Odyssey, 686 Hastings St W. Tickets $10 . Info on Facebook.

Fetish Fatale

At this fetish night, it’s all about the “sexual deviants of yesteryear.” All are welcome, whether you’re a “blushing maid, a lustful rapscallion, a cruel femme fatale, or one who serves them.”

10pm–3am. XYYVR, 1216 Bute St. Tickets $20. Info on Facebook.

Warehouse Fundraiser Party

This is the first event at a Strathcona warehouse that the folks from Eastside Flea, Man Up and Queers & Beers want to turn into a new community arts space. Music, drag and dancing. Drag Me To Hell

Sounds like a dinner invitation to Conni Smudge’s place, but no, this is where Sam Raimi horror film Drag Me To Hell gets a Disney makeover. Special guests this month are Mina Mercury and Imelda Mae Santos, and I’m sure they will be battling over which one gets to do Let It Go. Host Miss Understood is heading for a well-deserved trip to Africa so catch her last show for a while.

11pm–3am. The Junction, 1138 Davie St. Cover $5. More info on Facebook.
