In the heart of queers

A friend and local activist/academic, Alexandre Baril, was nominated for the CQGL (Conseil québécois des gais et lesbiennes) prize Coupe de Coeur (basically strikes a heart chord in the public).

Some fun facks about Monsieur Baril:

  1. I think it bears mentionning that I introduced him to the Sound of Arrows’ remix of Lady Gaga’s Alejandro.
  2. He has a Janis Joplin record (Pearl) displayed in his east-end apartment.
  3. He works out like a madman. And it shows.
  4. He’s a gentleman.
  5. He led the first demo for the rights of trans people in Quebec.
