Dear 40-year-old me

The planets in my solar chart must be doing some wacky retrograde shit, because these days I can’t watch a queer YouTube video without bawling. But today, they’re happy tears! Check out this video that a group of young members of the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance made to their 40-year-old selves. With so many gay teens succumbing to tragedy, it’s uplifting to see a group of youth who are optimistic about their future, despite the pain they’ve endured in the past.

As for me, when I’m 40 years old, I’m still going to look like I’m in my 20s, will be sleeping with at least one Yankee player, and will be kicking Ellen DeGeneres’s ass on the Out100 list!
