Judy and Igby’s Easter Camp
The self-proclaimed “wicked queens of the west-end scene,” Judy Virago and Igby Lizzard, present a raunchy and calamitous Easter celebration that includes burlesque, drag, circus acts and live music. The night features such performers as harlot Scarlet Bobo, hunky burlesquer El Toro, and lady bear extraordinaire Fay Slift. Sasha Van Bon Bon, co-creator of the burlesque troupe The Scandelles, facilitates the pre-show Easter egg hunt. Blasphemers and heretics welcome.

Cream X: Good Friday Edition
Good Friday: a Christian religious holiday that is the perfect excuse to wear a cute little bunny tail (it attracts attention to the ass, which is always a plus) and hop your butts over to one of Toronto’s newest parties for girls. Resident DJ KLR and special guest DJ Sticky Cuts (who’d appreciate some birthday shots) spin hip hop and house for a crowd of sexy ladies.

The whole venue is like a sultry, exciting forest, alive with prowling bears and their chasers. There’s bound to be cruising by the front bar and dancing, nibbling and grinding in the back. Things might get even hotter elsewhere — a paw could get stuck in a honey pot (if fisting is your thing). DJ B-Tech spins sexy beats all night long.

Tapette: Édition Tulipe
Ah spring! When thick, turgid stems slowly rise, stiff and glorious, from round bulbs buried deep in the dirt, eventually blooming splendidly to expose stamens ripe with endosperm. With Toronto’s Frenchest homosexual (and Daily Xtra’s arts editor), DJ Phil V, on decks, Tapette, like a sexy tulip from the soil, blossoms all over the dancefloor. He invites folks to shake their butts to some French pop, disco and house music, in his garden of dance. A bientôt!

Dame Edna’s Glorious Goodbye
Hello, possums! The grand lady — complete with wisteria-coloured hair and cat eye glasses (or her “face furniture”) — stops in Toronto on her latest farewell tour. We’ve seen her grow from a drab housewife from Moonee Ponds into a gigastar who keeps a room in Buckingham Palace (if you look closely, you can see her toothbrush sitting on a window sill), and it’s only right that we help usher her into this next phase of life: retirement. Besides, she should have some interesting things to say about the current state of Canada.
