Popping Culture: Laverne Cox does video cameo

The stars seem to be aligning for Laverne Cox, over and over again. First there was the cover of Time magazine and most recently, the cover of The Advocate. Then there was the news of her Emmy nomination this week.

But sometimes the simplest, smallest thing can be the most powerful. In this case, John Legend recently released a video for his song “You & I (Nobody in the World), directed by Mishka Kornai. The video features women from all walks of life, in all sorts of scenarios, with an emphasis on body acceptance, no matter what your body looks like. It’s a lovely and moving video.
