ASAP Rocky and Jason Collins: ‘Homosexuality’ awkwardness at the VMAs

Rapper ASAP Rocky has been outspoken about acceptance for gays in hip hop, but when he was paired up with out NBA player Jason Collins to introduce Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s “Same Love” at the VMAs, he wasn’t exactly eloquent in relaying his pro-love message.

“The only way things change is when you stand up for what you believe in,” Jason Collins said before ASAP took to the mic.

This next performer, “he stand up for everything he believe in as far as everybody being equal, colour . . . homosexuality,” Rocky said, while awkwardly pointing to Collins.
