Meanwhile, in what seems like a coordinated effort, the National Review launched an anti-gay screed that pundit Andrew Sullivan immediately went after as well.

In the wake of last week’s seismic shift forward in Iowa and Vermont, all this gay-baiting feels like desperation. Homophobia is alive and well in the US (and Canada, let’s not kid ourselves) but, contrary to right-wing paranoia, the storm clouds are lifting.
