True To Yourself

This poem made me think of Marjorie Raymond, may she RIP.

True To Yourself
By Inga

She was thought to be a rebellious colt
some wanted to tame
They tried to break her spirit – Make her lame;

So she would be a predictable piece in life’s puzzle – in life’s controlling game;

Then one day she died,
and in her eulogy they wrote,
‘She was unique, true to herself and her conscience, one of a kind.
Wish she were here,’ they cried, peering through their blinds.
