Ira Sachs’s Love Is Strange stars John Lithgow and Alfred Molina as a couple dealing with life’s ups and downs. The film screens at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival on Aug 19; a wider release is planned for Sept 19. Above, Andrew Murphy, director of programming at the Toronto Inside Out LGBT Film Festival, talks with Sachs in an interview from June. Love Is Strange, directed by Ira Sachs and starring John Lithgow (3rd Rock from the Sun and Dexter) and Alfred Molina (The Normal Heart), premieres in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal on Sept 19.
