Iona Whipp wins Vancouver’s Next Drag Superstar

Trip to New York to be filled with 'debauchery'

Local drag star Iona Whipp is going to New York City to attend RuPaul’s Drag Race finale party. Whipp won the trip in Vancouver’s Next Drag Superstar contest which is part of the season launch festivities for RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Whipp was crowned by drag superstar Shangela, the debutauntness of the deep south, who is a former contestant on RuPaul’s show.

“When the queens get together after the show, especially for a finale, there will be tons of debauchery, believe that,” says Shangela. “Just think Untucked taken to the 15th power.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4 airs Mondays at 9pm on OUTtv. For more on OUTtv, click here.
