Vancouver rallies for coalition government

More than 1,000 attend event

More than 1,000 people attended a Vancouver rally in support of a Liberal-NDP coalition government.

Attendees heard from former Liberal MP Herb Dhaliwal and NDP MP Peter Julian. Many in the crowd carried anti-Harper signs and chanted “he must go! he must go!”

Vancouver city councillor elect Ellen Woodsworth said the queer community should stand in support of a coalition to oust Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

“This is a man who was clearly going to stand against marriage rights for gay couples,” she said.
