The porn that border officials won’t let you import

Bondage flicks singled out by censors at CBSA

It seems as though the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is locking up our bondage flicks.

Four times a year, the CBSA releases a list of imported items they have either deemed admissible or prohibited, categorizing the banned items as obscene or hate propaganda.

From Jan to Mar 2008, government censors prevented dozens of good old SM movies and literature from coming through the border. The list compiles determinations (goods that have been submitted for review) and re-determinations (titles that have been previously prohibited, and re-determined at the importer’s request).

Border officials have consistently been a thorn in the side for the gay and lesbian community, as the border agency continues to ban materials it perceives to be obscene. The censors have gone so far as to target specific mailing addresses that are known to be retailers of explicit queer material, such as Little Sister’s in Vancouver.

Some of the restrictions just don’t make sense. Why would they allow Naughty Nurses but not Naughty Victorians? Is it okay to fuck in a hospital, but not a castle?

Here are some of my personal faves from the list of the banned:

***
Arena of Pain 2

“The doms at Club Arena in NYC demonstrate some more pain and suffering on their willing slaves!”

The box says that the slaves were willing! No rape, no incest — strictly consensual! Plus the description has an exclamation mark, so that must mean it’s good.

***
Badman Bondage

“The Badman is back, tying up his sexy babes tighter than ever! You are treated to multiple girls on girls bondage scenes, including sexy Brittany and Renna in nude bondage, licking each other’s pussies as they writhe hogtied on the floor!”

Free sexy Brittany! Aside from the rope, this sounds like some pretty standard girl-on-girl action.

***
College Balls

“Master Bondi does an all balls and ass bondage and domination on cute young Noah. Ball weights, a hugely inflatable dildo, a ball vice, then electricity to the balls, followed by very hot bondage — a real treat.”

A real treat, they say! This one is a gay porno with some bondage mixed in, which means two strikes in the eyes of the CBSA.

***
Disciplinary Action

“Mistress Melissa purchases what she thought was an obedient slave for Master Ronnie. But, slavegirl Jazzmine misbehaves and Master Ronnie Rocks’ strong hands adjust her behaviors. She will learn to listen the hard way.”

Well, I mean, she did misbehave. Mistress Melissa purchased what she thought was an obedient slave for Master Ronnie! How was she to know?

***
Future Doms

“In the future, in Cyberworld, the ultimate honor is to pay homage to the great mistress, and those foolish enough not to do so are punished accordingly. You’ll see dominants showing off their slaves talents; submissives begging their masters for more as they are shown the pleasures that await them as deserving slaves. You’ll see a bondage playground that up until now you’ve only seen in your dreams!”

Cyberworld sounds awesome. We should be learning about other cultures.

***
Rope of the Rising Sun

“Rope of every color and texture on soft, luscious feminine flesh. Also see and hear the sizzle of hot wax on bare skin, the hiss of the whip as it slices through the air. From these elements, Japan’s incomparable master of rope bondage creates his unforgettable masterpieces of living sculpture.”

This sounds magical! A work of art! I can almost hear the sizzle of hot wax on bare skin and the hiss of the whip through the air now. A treat for the eyes and the ears!
