Arizona pastor: Kill all gays to end AIDS
A video of Arizona Baptist pastor Steven Anderson shows him calling for the execution of all gay people to cure AIDS. “Everybody’s talking about: ‘Let’s have an AIDS-free world by 2020.’ Look, we can have an AIDS-free world by Christmas,” he tells his chortling congregation. “It was right there in the Bible all along — and they’re out spending billions of dollars in research and testing. It’s curable — right there. Because if you executed the homos like God recommends, you wouldn’t have all this AIDS running rampant.”
US LGBT groups will spend $186 million this year
According to a study by LGBT think tank Movement Advancement Project, major LGBT advocacy groups will spend a combined $186 million this year, up 14 percent from last year. The non-profit sector as a whole grew by 4.5 percent.

Irish prime minister visits gay bar
Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny dropped in to a gay bar on Tuesday for drinks with an LGBT group in Dublin, showing his support for a referendum to legalize same-sex marriage to be held next spring. Kenny is facing off against the Irish Catholic Church, which says that legalizing same-sex marriage will undermine the family. The bar is owned by Panti Bliss, the drag queen who made headlines with an impassioned speech against homophobia earlier this year.

Michael Sam did not say he was kicked out for being gay
When gay football player Michael Sam told TMZ he did not “think it had to do with talent” that he was not on an NFL team, TMZ went ahead and translated the message for him: “He believes he’s on the outs because he’s out.” Not so, says Sam, who tweeted later, “Despite what headlines may read, I’ve never said and have never believed that I am being kept out of the league. I know I have talent to play for the NFL and I look forward to getting an opportunity to prove that I can help a team win.”
Terry Bean pleads not guilty
Gay rights activist Terry Bean has pleaded not guilty to charges of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy. Bean and his ex-boyfriend Kiah Lawson were both arrested last month on charges of sodomy and sexual abuse. Bean’s lawyer says the charges are part of a plot by Lawson and other men to frame Bean.
Gay Santa star of documentary
Can Santa be gay? Jim Stevenson, a Santa Claus impersonator in the new documentary I Am Santa Claus, proves he can. And despite objections from the occasional homophobic mall Santa, Stevenson says his sexual orientation has never been an issue. “I personally never have had a problem with a straight person about being gay and being Santa,” he says. “It’s just never come up.”
