The man charged with assaulting two Oshawa lesbians in front of their children in November made a court appearance on Jan 8.
Mark Scott, who is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, appeared in an Oshawa courtroom to have his next appearance set for Fri, Jan 22.
Scott’s lawyer, Mark Jacula, says he hopes the court will set a trial date at that appearance. He says pre-trial discussions will take place before Jan 22.
“Myself and the Crown attorney and judge will sit down to discuss the trial and what can be admitted,” he says. “Potentially we’ll be setting trial dates on the 22.”
Jacula says his client is eager for a trial to start as soon as possible and plans to plead not guilty on both counts.
