Several hundred people marched downtown yesterday to protest Harper’s shutting down of Parliament, part of a wave of protests held across the country. [Montreal City Weblog]

A man was found dead in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen this weekend. And if the is the man’s lover as is alleged, that would make it a pretty dire case of internalized homophobia. Some people I interviewed for the article about Quebec’s new Homophobia Policy Infrastructure on facebook started an anti-homophobia group recently, and I kinda like how they’re keeping it current with posts and links of current affairs.
