Former star of The L Word Leisha Hailey and her girlfriend were kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for their public display of affection. The couple were kissing when a flight attendant insisted they stop because Southwest is a “family” airline. The couple defended their right to smooch and were then escorted off the flight for “causing a disturbance.”
I would be more worried if this story was about two gay guys. At least you know a lesbian has all the materials in her Kenneth Cole carry-on to build her own bloody plane!

Since when is showing affection toward someone you love illegal? I want to know what Southwest Airlines considers as ‘family.’ I know plenty of wonderful same-sex families I would like to introduce them to. Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don’t like us.
Southwest has also released a statement saying, “We received complaints characterizing the behavior as excessive. Our crew, responsible for the comfort of all customers on board, approached the passengers based solely on behavior and not gender. The conversation escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground, as opposed to in flight.”
So basically, Southwest is fucking crazy. Let’s not forget this is the same airline that kicked Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong off a flight recently because his pants were “too low.” What’s next? “Excuse me, ma’am, your skin is just too black to fly with us. We are a family airline, after all…”
