John Greyson, a gay filmmaker, and Dr Tarek Loubani arrive home to Canada after a seven-week ordeal that included their imprisonment in a Cairo jail.

John Greyson, a gay filmmaker, and Dr Tarek Loubani have returned safely to Canada after a seven-week ordeal that included imprisonment in an Egyptian jail.

“After 50 days in Tora prison, five days not being able to fly out of Cairo, here we are,” said Tarek Loubani to reporters at Pearson International Airport on Oct 11.
