The fate of an HIV-positive gay man who allegedly failed to disclose his status before having unprotected sex with his boyfriend will be decided next week when Justice Lauri Ann Fenlon releases her decision.
Last Friday she said she hoped to give her decision today.
“It’s a difficult case,” she said. “And as I go through case law and evidence, if I need any more time I’ll let you know because I don’t want to find myself in a position of rushing to a decision that’s not only important to [the accused] and the complainant, but other people who may be affected by the outcome of this trial.”
The decision will now be released on Friday, May 7 at 9 am.
