At Wired, Andy Greenberg writes that even if you disable location settings on gay dating apps such as Grindr, Hornet and Jack’d, hackers can target your location down to a few feet. A Kyoto researcher has shown how anyone can use triangulation to pinpoint users, causing possible security and privacy nightmares.
Gay chorus baseball mix-up
The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus was on the field to sing the American national anthem before a Major League Baseball game Saturday, but then had to stand awkwardly on the field while a pre-recorded female voice was broadcast instead. The San Diego Padres baseball team say the incident was a mistake, and an investigation is underway.

Church of Scotland allows gay married clergy
Ministers of the Church of Scotland still can’t perform same-sex marriages, but, strangely, they can be in them. The church has voted to allow congregations to “opt out” of the official anti-same-sex marriage stance and appoint married gay clergy.

Honolulu settles Lesbian kiss arrest for $80,000
The city of Honolulu has agreed to pay $80,000 to a lesbian couple who were arrested for kissing in a grocery store. An off-duty police officer allegedly saw the women kissing, and threatened to throw them out of the store.
