Pope Francis recently lamented that “gay lobby” is at work in the Vatican, an apparent response to recent allegations in Italian media that high-ranking gay prelates in the church were being blackmailed.
New York Times columnist Frank Bruni writes he has many questions for and about this “gay lobby” but starts with: How can you be so spectacularly ineffective?
