It’s safe to say implicit racism is a problem in our community. It’s been talked about at length, even here at Daily Xtra, and a quick look at many Grindr profiles will tell you it is still a pervasive problem.

Dosti, a support group for South Asian men, agrees. Started in 2012 as an initiative by the Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP), Dosti is predominantly an online community that hosts a wealth of information, blogs and forums where men can interact and learn.

Dosti also hosts a series of meet-ups designed for South Asian men. It’s a great starting point for men who feel out of place in the community or are just looking to meet men who have a similar cultural background and appreciation.
