Australia’s NICHE (National Institute for Challenging Homophobia Education) has released a series of videos telling the personal stories of various members of the queer community, and if you have a moment, I highly suggest you take a look at them. They’re beautifully animated and the stories themselves are touching.

In the video below, Councillor Tony Briffa, the world’s first intersex mayor, talks about what it was like growing up, finding a supportive partner, and embracing the intersex identity.
