A compilation of gay-rights news clips from the 1970s

This compilation video of 1970s news clips about the gay-rights movement is more than an hour long but is an educational, intriguing and, yes, sometimes horrifying portrayal of the first decade of the post-Stonewall gay liberation fight.

Dave Evans is responsible for putting together the video, which covers everything from the first gay pride parade in New York City’s Central Park to a profile on Harvey Milk to Anita Bryant getting pied in the face.
