To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Xtra, we give you the first-ever Xtra Hot column, from Issue #134, which hit the streets Oct 13, 1989.

Although his favourite hangout is The Barn, you’ll sometimes run into Gerard at Woody’s. The 32-year-old Montreal native moved to Toronto two and a half years ago. He supervises social workers and is earning a master’s degree in social work.
