Truckerdisco and Thickset party switches venues Pride Sunday

Happy Pride bitches!

Just a little party update: The Truckerdisco/Thickset double party has abruptly switched locations from Club 23 to Electric Owl Sunday (August 5) night. Promoter/DJ Taffi Louis has been working tirelessly to find a new location and it looks like the Pride gods are gonna let this one werk out! Electric Owl is bigger and even though they have a shitty sound system, the quality of the DJ sets will make up for it.

Here’s what their Facebook page has to say about the shakeup:

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Club 23, the original host venue, will not be open this weekend… But thanks to some quick-thinking friends for springing into action to not only SAVE this event, but for bringing it to one of Vancouver’s best, coolest venues for live music & DJ’s – Electric Owl Social Club at 926 Main, across from The Cobalt.”
