The never-ending fantasy

According to the Facebook event page, Wiggle is a “wearable art and performance extravaganza that celebrates all forms of expression and creativity. It is a platform for new and emerging as well as established artists, stylists, designers and show-folk. Wiggle started many moons ago in Windsor Ontario and Detroit Michigan and moved to Vancouver in 1995 along with multi-media artist collective ‘The House of Venus’ with Michael Venus at the helm. Venus celebrates Wiggle’s 19th year in Vancouver and had been a part of the city’s fashion, drag and underground scene launching many up and coming artists’ careers. The annual showcase offers creative people of all types to escape reality, let go and live the fantasy.”

Check out a video by Bob Onoshi from last year’s Wiggle for a hint of what you can expect at Fortune Sound Club tomorrow night:

Find more videos of Wiggle 18 here, and read Blitz & Shitz in the next issue of Xtra, on stands April 24, for my review of the night!
