Tegan and Sara get ‘Closer’ to their pop dreams with help from Taylor Swift

I got to interview Sara of Tegan and Sara backstage at Ambleside Park in West Van before she hit the stage with her sister for a set that included songs both old and new.

I’m obsessed with the twin duo’s latest LP, Heartthrob, which is one of my favourite pop albums of 2013 so far, and I’m definitely not the only fan of the band’s new direction — Tegan and Sara recently performed onstage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with Taylor Swift, singing their single “Closer.” Here’s what Sara has to say about the experience:
