Stav Strashko: Lady in red

In commemoration of gay pride in Detroit, Chevrolet recently released this advertisement of a car coming out as “electric” with the headline “Volt runs on an electric battery and gas generator. So, whatever revs your engine, we support you 100%. Happy Motor City Pride from the entire Chevrolet family.”

Now Toyota has gotten into the gay spirit, by featuring androgynous Ukrainian model Stav Strashko in a commercial for the Corolla, known overseas as the Auris. In the advert, Stav is filmed from behind walking seductively toward the car in a red bikini bottom. It isn’t until the end (when every man watching is already half-mast) that his male torso is revealed.

I guess what Toyota is trying to convey is that you might just get more than you asked for — and like it.
