Since New Year’s Day 2011, Matthew Perren has taken some well-thought-out selfies: 1101 days’ worth of photos show Perren evolving from 15 to 18 years old and then back again, with his mouth synched to Queen’s hit “Don’t Stop Me Now.” The result is one of the coolest zero-budget music videos ever created.
“I made a very simple lip-sync animation for the song and adjusted the frame rate to determine how long I’d have to take pictures for,” Perren explains. “Then every day I’ve taken two pictures [one for the start and one for the end of the video] and they gradually make their way towards the middle of the video.”
