Pride plans on schedule, says executive director

Trans March won't take place on Yonge Street

Kevin Beaulieu, the executive director of Pride Toronto, says plans are on schedule for this year’s Pride festivities.

Asked by Xtra reporter Andrea Houston whether the Trans March would follow a Yonge St route, like the Dyke March and the main Pride parade, Beaulieu says no.

Last year a splinter group broke ranks with the rest of the trans marchers and made an unauthorized turn down Yonge St.
