Pride and Outgames launch in Vancouver

Follow the flagbearers and catch the highlights

City officials, queers and allies gathered first at city hall and then at the Vancouver Art Gallery on July 25 to officially kick off Pride Week and the 2011 North American Outgames in Vancouver. Xtra videographer Angelina Cantada attended the ceremonies and chased the flagbearers to bring you all the opening-day action.

Video produced by Angelina Cantada and Robin Perelle.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone. That’s when we use “Xtra Staff” in place of the usual contributor info. If you would like more information on who contributed to a particular story, please contact us here.
