Out in Vancouver: March 26-31, 2015

Choice events in the city this week

Thurs, March 26

Dining Out For Life

For one day, stop living off protein shakes, veggies and vitamins and eat like it’s your last meal — all while helping others. Dine out for breakfast, lunch or dinner at participating restaurants across the Lower Mainland and help people living with HIV/AIDS as the restaurants contribute 25 percent of their food sales. The more you eat, the more they contribute. You can always get back on the treadmill tomorrow. For a list of participating restaurants click here.

Fri, March 27

Timberline

Are you a tush-push or a two stepper? Although any other night at Pumpjack’s those terms may mean something completely different, tonight they’re part of country western dancing! Free lessons at 7:30pm. Come out together or alone, no partner needed. 7–11pm. Pumpjack Pub, 1167 Davie St. No cover. timberlinedance.org

Sat, March 28

Sun, March 29

East Van Garage Sale

Purge or buy! You know you want to. Everyone needs at least one pair of pink tights. Now’s your chance at this communal purge of vintage clothes, décor, records, arts crafts and so much more. Plus there will be music, food and cheap beer, so those leopard print panties will look much better after a few beverages. 11am–6pm. Astoria Hastings, 769 East Hastings St. Search for East Van Garage Sale on Facebook.

Tues, March 31

Famous Puppet Death Scenes

As a kid this would have scared me to death, and even now there is a shiver. With its scenes collected from a variety of puppet shows throughout history, this show promises to “deconstruct your traumatized psyche and reconstruct you so that death means nothing to you anymore.” Yeah, I’m still scared of puppets. 8pm. York Theatre, 639 Commercial Dr. Show runs until Tues, April 14. Info, schedule and tickets, $18–41, at thecultch.com

: Man about town scurrying into every bar, restaurant, nook and cranny looking for all the details to post the events you want to see. Drop me a line if you want your GLBT themed event, meeting, social, gathering, play party, circle jerk, listed online or even if you are one short for your orgy. I always aim to please.....unless its your eye...ouch!!!
