30th Annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival

The Vancouver Queer Film Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The fest runs for 11 days and boasts more than 70 films from around the world. Get Fierce

Feeling the post-Pride blues? Carlotta Gurl knows the cure — a drag show in the Vancouver Aquarium and, billing promises, “shocking aquatic animal sex talk.”

Sound Of Music Sing-a-Long

Sing along and throw various items at a screening of The Sound of Music. Be prepared for a costume contest and plenty of audience participation.

Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival

This three-day festival for the arts focuses on visual and performing artists “facing social exclusion and other barriers.” Check out the art on display and for sale, alongside live performances throughout the day.

Youth Drag Workshop

Part of the Vancouver Queer Film Fest, this workshop gives young participants a crash course in putting together a drag look and performance. Registration is required.

Plaza Summer Patio Party

Slip and Slide

50 Years Of Fabulous

Maestro YVR Improv

An improv workshop is followed by an elimination-style live show. Audience members provide scene suggestions and applause determines who stays standing. In the end, only one improv performer can win.
