We’re Funny That Way Performance Festival
The queer performance festival returns with a stellar lineup of performers, including Julia Scotti, Larry Owens, Diane Flacks, Ryan G Hinds and Grace Bakker. As always, the festival, which includes sketch comedy, cabaret, stand-up and more, will raise funds for LGBT charities across Canada.

Super Gay Friday
One of the city’s popular queer comedy shows features headliner Courtney Gilmour (Just for Laughs, Winnipeg Comedy Festival). She is joined by the following LGBTQ+ standups: Tom Hearn, David Murray MacLean, Camille Côté, Ashley Bomberry, Kyah Green and Emily Bilton. The venue is accessible.

Inside Out 2018 Launch Party
The 2018 Inside Out LGBT film festival launches with a glamorous party. There will be food, drinks, dancing (to the music of DJs Ticky Ty and Sammy Rawal) and the announcement of the official program for the 2018 festival (which will run May 24–June 3).

Balls Deep Disco: Star Wars Edition
May the 4th be with you! No, you’re not allowed to ever experience this day without somebody making that joke. The Star Wars-themed edition of the dance party with the filthy name includes DJs The Robotic Kid and Kris Steeves spinning “space disco, galactic funk and Jedi boogie.”

Green Space Festival Launch Party
The Green Space Festival, a popular party series taking place every year at Toronto Pride, launches with a party including special guest Aquaria (from Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race). The launch gives you a taste of what’s in store, with choreographed drag and great music (DJ Jeremy Khamkeo). The venue is accessible.

Tapette: Édition Bonne Fête
Bonne fête! Baguettes everywhere! The queer French dance party has its annual birthday edition, and they’re thrilled to be back on Dundas West for the big day. DJ Phillippe will spin French disco and house and somebody named Mikey Apples will do something presumably.

Fun Home
Based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling graphic memoir, this musical chronicles the lesbian cartoonist’s life as she comes out and explores her complicated relationship with her dead father.
