Fun Home

Based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling graphic memoir, the musical is about a 43 year-old lesbian cartoonist who navigates her complex relationship with her dead father.

This monthly standup comedy show focuses on comedians of colour, LGBT comedians and comedians who identify as women. This edition’s talent is Faisal Butt, Zena Lord, Rhiannon Archer, Sarah St-Fleur, Amy Bugg and headliner Jackie Pirico. Anasimone George is the host. The venue is accessible.

Rangeela Presents: Manali

What must be Canada’s biggest queer Bollywood party returns with, billing says, “the hottest Bollywood beats to keep you shaking your booty on some Babaji ki booti.” DJ Deep spins and the décor is sure to be, as always, amazing. While this party is aimed at the queer South Asian community, everyone is welcome. The venue is not accessible.

Cherry Bomb: Queer the Dancefloor

There will be a lot of dancing and flirting at the April edition of one of the city’s most popular parties for queer women and their friends. The music is provided by “resident dyke DJ duo” Cozmic Cat and Denise Benson. Arrive early to score a table, play some games and meet new people. The venue is not accessible.

AX BKK Xpress: Bangkok

This edition of the dance party for Asian boys and those who love them has a Thailand theme. DJ Sumation will spin Top 40, dance, house, EDM, K-pop, RnB, hip hop and circuit. Entertainment includes three drag shows by Sofonda Cox, Jolin Starr and Vachina Dynasty. The venue is not accessible.

Pretty Munny Presents: Black Rock Slam

Poetry, drag, singing, storytelling – anything goes at the queer and trans-positive open mic night. Hosted by Pretty Munny Productions and drag king Gay Jesus, this is an all-ages event. Arrive promptly at 7pm to sign up for the open mic (which starts at 8pm). The venue is accessible.

QAPD Presents: The Headliners

The touring LGBTQ+ comedy showcase Queer and Present Danger brings you a new series “highlighting the nation’s biggest names in queer comedy.” This edition features some up-and-coming queer comedy stars with headliner Martha Chaves. The venue is accessible.
